Day 4: Sean stuffing and slamming

訓練營第四天：

 One sequence went like this: Sean Williams tipped in a missed shot then on
the other end stuffed an Antoine Wright slam try.

Sean Williams 把一個沒投進的球點了進去，然後在另外一端賞了
Antoine Wright嘗試灌籃時的一個火鍋。

Later in the scrimmage, Williams swatted Wright again. And a little later
threw down a tomahawk slam in transition.

在小組對抗的稍晚，Williams又蓋了Wright一次，再過了不久之後
又在快攻時展現了戰斧式的灌籃。

First thought – the rookie gives the Nets energy, effort, and you see why he
’s been called a Kenyon Martin-type of player. How can he not play?

頭一個感想：這名新人給了籃網能量、績效、而且你看到了為什麼他被稱為是
Kenyon Martin 型態的球員，他怎麼能不得到上場時間？

Then you realize he’s not as polished as Martin, who was raw himself. You
also realize it’s a scrimmage and the naked eye probably is not picking up
when Williams is in the wrong place on offense or on defense or whether he’s
doing everything the coaches ask of him when we’re not in there.

然後你了解到他不和Martin一樣身經百戰，他還是欠缺經驗。
你也並且瞭解到，在小組對抗當中還是有看不到的地方，比如說
在進攻、防守的時候站錯位置，當我們不在訓練營現場時
他是否都做到了教練所要求的。

Yet the athletic forward is opening some eyes with his early play.

這名活動力強的前鋒的一些表現，已經漸漸讓許多人睜開雙眼注意到他。

“I’m really surprised with Sean,” said Bostjan Nachbar, who has been very
impressive in camp. “He’s got a long way to guy, no question about that –
 but he has the ability to change the game. He’s showing that this training
camp.”

奶爸說：〝對於Sean，我真的很驚訝。是沒錯，他還需要更多的比賽經驗，
但他確實有改變球賽結果的能力，在訓練營當中，他充分證明了這點〞

Even Jason Kidd concurred that he’s a Martin-type of player

Jason Kidd 也認同他是馬丁類型的球員。

“He blocks shots, rebounds; he’s a live wire,” Kidd said. “You need those
type of guys on your team to keep the ball alive and get you extra shots,
block a shot get out and run and finish. He can do all those things.”

"他能賞火鍋，也能搶籃板，他是一個充滿能力的勁量小子。

你需要這種球員在你的球隊上，讓球權持續存在，並讓你有多餘的投籃機會。

把投籃給煽出去，並且在場上奔跑把球灌進籃框中。這些事情他可以做得很好"

Here's Lawrence Frank's take:

“I think Sean has had some good moments, which is very encouraging. What
Sean has shown that we didn’t see in summer league is that playing with the
better players his competitive edge has risen as well. Like any young player
there is going to be a lot of days when you don’t see that. He’s had some
good moments. We just have to build on it. He’s done some eye-opening
things. Hopefully he can continue to build on those good things because those
are worthwhile assets.”

FRANK認為
" Sean 有不錯的表現，這有激勵球隊的效果。

在夏季聯盟當中我們沒看到的表現是，當香威和能力更強的球員在一起，
他的競爭能力又更加提高了。

就像一些年輕的球員一樣，當你沒看到的情況將會持續很久的時間。

他有很好的才能，所以我們必須繼續在上面努力。 他已經讓許多人對他
感到注意了。他必須持續往這方面發展，這些都是值得保持的資產。"

The biggest thing is Williams needs to play. He’s supposed to run and jump
and hit the boards and block shots. But he has to keep playing, since he
missed so much playing time in college for his personal transgressions,
develop his game and show he deserves to play.

最重要的是，Sean Will 是需要打球的。他能照預期的，奔跑、跳躍、
摘下籃板球、還有賞火鍋，但他必須持續的上場打球，
因為在大學時期他缺席了一段時間，他現在必須持續提升自己的比賽，
和展現他渴望打球的動力。
