Nets Sign Krstic
East Rutherford, NJ, July 27 --
The New Jersey Nets have signed 2002 First Round draft pick, center/forward
Nenad Krstic, Nets CEO Rod Thorn announced today. As per club policy, terms
of the agreement were not announced.
"We are very pleased to add Nenad to our roster," said Thorn. "He is a
developing talent who should add depth to our frontcourt rotation.”
Krstic was selected by New Jersey with the 24th overall pick in the 2002 NBA
Draft. Since being drafted, the 7-0 center/forward from Serbia-Montenegro has
continued to develop his game playing for KK Partizan, one of the top teams
in Europe. In 2003-04 Krstic averaged 16.9 ppg and 6.6 rpg in 14 games in the
YUBA League and 13.4 ppg and 2.9 rpg in nine Euro League games.
