Unless Gilbert Arenas made up more than 214,000 votes and passed
Vince Carter, tonight the Nets' shooting guard should be named a
starter for next month's All-Star game.

除非 Gilbert Arenas 的票數能再多出 21 萬 4 千張超越 Carter，否則
今晚這位籃網隊的得分後衛將會在下個月全明星賽的先發名單之上。


The NBA will announce the starters before TNT's Dallas-Chicago
telecast.

NBA 當局會在 TNT 轉播的雙牛之戰前公布先發名單。


It would be the sixth time in eight seasons that Carter is voted
an East starter, but that likely wouldn't have been possible had
Allen Iverson not been traded from Philadelphia to Denver. Before
the trade, Carter was third in the guard voting behind Iverson
and Miami's Dwyane Wade.

這將是過去八季以來 Carter 第六次被票選為明星賽東區的先發球員，一
方面也得利於 AI 的轉隊，在那筆交易之前，Carter 的票數還落在 Iverson
和 Wade 之後。


"[Being an] All-Star, that's always great," said Carter, who has
been so seven times. "It's fun. People still appreciate your game
and what you bring to the table. I'm always appreciative of being
named an All-Star. I hope I have a teammate."

「當一個全明星球員，永遠都是件很棒的事。」卡特這麼說著，這已經是
他第七次入選明星賽。(還有四次是得票數最高...) 「這很有趣，觀眾們
仍然支持你的比賽，我總是很慶幸能被票選為全明星球員，我希望有個隊
友也能跟我一起打明星賽。」 (意思是希望 Kidd 也能入選嗎？)


Carter should. Jason Kidd, whose eight triple-doubles are more than
the rest of the league combined, is having an All-Star season. The
coaches pick the reserves, who will be announced a week from today.

Carter 當然會這麼希望。Jason Kidd 本季已經拿到八次大三元了，比聯
盟其他人加起來都還多 (不講我還沒發現呢 XD)，他當然有入選的理由。
而明星賽的替補球員將由教練們選出，將在一週之後公佈。


Kidd said he wants to play in the Feb. 18 game at Las Vegas.

Kidd 說他希望能在 2 月 18 號拉斯維加斯的明星賽中出場亮相。
(我也很希望...教練們一定要選隊長呀！)
