December 24, 2007 -- Richard Jefferson is pretty much a tough guy to impress.
He has seen Josh Boone virtually explode into the Nets' forefront in the past
two weeks. 

要讓RJ 印象深刻是有些困難的。RJ 目睹了 Boone 在過去兩週的前場突破。

He watched Boone deliver his first double-double of the season. He saw him
battle Shaquille O'Neal, fouling out the future Hall of Famer in overtime. 

他看到 Boone 本季的第一個雙十，他看到 Boone 對抗大沙魚,
讓  Shaq 在延長賽犯滿離場。

Boone has started the last three Nets games - two of them victories. He has
been active around the rim; scoring, rebounding, using his athleticism and
energy to infuse a new dimension into the Nets' frontcourt.

See, Jefferson is a long-term kind of guy. Not that he hasn't liked what
Boone has done, not that he doesn't praise his second-season teammate. It
just means a lot more when done night in, night out. 

Jefferson 看得比較長遠。目前為止他並不喜愛 Boone 所做的，
而且他也還沒開始讚美這位二年級生，
但這只代表，在每晚激烈的比賽當中都會有不盡相同的結果。

"People don't understand how tough it is to do it every single night,"
Jefferson explained. "He's starting to understand that. You can't do it one
night and think the next night it's going to be given to you. Every single
night you have to take from the other team.

So far, Boone is holding up his end. The last seven games have seen him
firmly implanted in the rotation - he has averaged 30.4 minutes, a huge
increase from the 9.4 he was getting through the team's first 27 games, where
he played in 20 and was stapled to the bench for seven.

"No matter how many minutes you get, they have to be as productive as you can
make them," Boone said. "I've had some games when I wasn't productive, so I
wanted to work on that."

Can't argue with work. Take a quick gander at some of Boone's numbers in
those seven games, compared to what they were before: 10.4 points, up from
1.8; 8.7 rebounds, up from 2.4; .574 shooting (31-of-54) up from .357
(10-of-28). 

不能對他的苦工不認同。看看過去七場比賽他的表現，
10.4分(從1.8分) 8.7籃板(從2.4) 命中率57.4%從35.7%躍升。

"The more you play the more confident you're going to be. I have to continue
to work hard on different aspects of my game - especially free throws,
obviously," Boone said.

Boone has been a major factor in the Nets' current two-game winning streak
that they'll try to extend to three against the Pistons tomorrow. He fouled
out O'Neal in Miami on Thursday and then collected 19 points and 13 rebounds
- eight offensive - in the 100-95 victory against high-powered Golden State
on Saturday. In those seven games, Boone has 32 offensive rebounds. Consider
Jason Kidd, the team's leading rebounder, and Jefferson have 34 all season.
Boone's 46 overall offensive boards are a team high. 

Boone 在籃網的二連勝當中是主要的勝利因素。他們試著在對抗活塞隊

"I told him you're going to have to go from guarding Shaq, to chasing Golden
State around, to guarding Rasheed Wallace," Jefferson said. "You have to
force yourself to do it every single night."
