The Boss Says Frank's Safe...Krstic Practices

Team president Rod Thorn supports coach Lawrence Frank.

籃網隊總管索先生說他不會對教練法先生怎樣。


"It's redundant to ask but I've always supported him and I still do," Thorn
said today of Frank. "I certainly do support him and I fully believe we are
going to play ourselves out of this."

索先生：「這問題其實有點多餘，我一直都支持他，我也相信之後我們會
不受這些東西影響，繼續打我們自己的球。」


And that "this" is a funk of six straight losses - the last four with an
average defensive yield of 118.8 points. Defense has been completely
optional. Now whether you want to say they're not doing this or not doing
that (face it, they're not doing anything), bottom line is defensively they
stink on ice.

「這些東西」指的是最近悽慘的六連敗，甚至在最近四場的比賽中平均讓
對手得到了 118.8分，要不要防守好像看心情決定一樣。現在無論你要不
要說他們這個沒做好，那個沒做好，（事實上他們什麼都沒做好），總之
氣氛就是降到了一個冰點。


"It's a lack of effort. That's all it is. A lack of effort. It had nothing to
do with the game plan or anything, it's a lack of effort (by everyone),
including myself," said Richard Jefferson

「不夠盡力，就這麼簡單。比賽打得毫無章法，每個人都不夠盡力，包括
我自己在內。」 RJ 說。


And that's why Frank's job security becomes an issue. Frank, who usually
looks like he got hit by a truck after a loss but ALWAYS bounces back the
next day with an upbeat mood, was hardly upbeat today. Yeah, he was annoyed
when asked again if he's worried about his job.

這就是為什麼教練法先生的去留會成為話題。這位法先生，每次輸球後看
起來都像被卡車輾過一樣，卻總是在隔天又復活了。他總是被問到是否擔
心會丟掉飯碗的問題，沒錯，他已經被問到煩了。


"I'll tell you the same thing I told you the last time you asked," Frank said.

「我還是會告訴你一樣的答案，跟你之前問我的一樣。」法先生說。

And Thorn insists there is nothing remotely close on the trade front.

而索先生堅持這和交易方面的事情沒什麼關係。


Players proclaim that Frank is not the problem.

球員們都宣稱法先生並不是個問題。


"He's being extremely calm. I think he's doing the right approach. Panic is
the last thing we need right now," said Bostjan Nachbar.

「他非常冷靜，我想這是正確的，恐慌絕對不是我們現在需要的東西。」
奶爸說。


"I think everybody still supports coach. It's just that we're not playing
well," said Jason Kidd with a understatement as big as the Pacific.

「我想每個人還是都支持教練的，只是我們沒有打好而已。」隊長有所保
留地說，儘管他保留的空間好像跟太平洋一樣大。


The big news yesterday though - other than the coach is employed - was Nenad
Krstic taking part in practice with real live players, and going through
contact with real live bodies instead of doing post moves against a breeze or
imaginary friends. There's still no target date for a return although Krstic
has said repeatedly he is MAYBE eyeing the game against the Bucks when this
Road Trip Without End ends.

除了教練之外，昨天還有其他的大新聞，就是 Krstic 總算可以開始練習
了，是真人的那種，不是模擬的喔。但是他還沒有確定什麼時候回來，儘
管他說自己「可能」會在對公鹿的那場比賽亮相，在這場永無止盡的客場
之旅結束後。


"It's a total unknown what he'll give us, but it was a nice step for him,"
Frank said. "He took part in practice, played one-on-one after with Malik
(Allen) and Boki (Nachbar). He practiced with everyone, with contact. He took
part. It was encouraging but I have to keep it in perspective. Although now
that he has practiced, we'll give him more work."

「他能為我們帶來什麼，還完全是個未知數，但無論如何這對他來說都是
很重要的一步。」法先生說，「他參加練習，並跟麥阿倫和奶爸進行一對
一的訓練，他和每個人一起練習，包含了身體的碰撞。總之，他參與其中
，這令人感到興奮，但還需要觀察，還有很多事情等著他去做呢。」
