Freddy Shepherd has challenged Newcastle's new manager to awaken a sleeping
giant and take the club back into Europe.
牧羊人要求新主帥叫醒Newcastle這個沉睡的巨人(XD)

Giving his strongest hint yet that Sam Allardyce would be appointed as
Glenn Roeder's successor, the Magpies chairman has demanded that the new boss
deliver success to St James' Park.
Newcastle finished the season in 13th position and Shepherd insists that is
unacceptable for such a big club.
"The first job for the new manager is to get Newcastle back into the top six
in the Premiership and to make sure the club is playing regularly in Europe.
That is the minimum we expect," he told the Daily Telegraph.
牧羊人承認排名13是不可接受的結果。
"新主帥必須要帶球隊回到前六，保證我們可以經常的打歐洲賽場。
這是最低限度。"
"Where we are in the Premier League this season simply isn't acceptable to
either me or our fans.
"今年在英超的排名對於我跟球迷都是無法接受的。"

"This managerial change is about re-establishing Newcastle United as a
formidable power both in the Premiership and Europe.
"Sam Allardyce knows that a club with Newcastle's support, resources and
wage bill must be challenging at the top end of the table.
"But you only have to look at what he achieved in transforming Bolton to know
that his credentials match the job description."
Shepherd believes the future will be bright for Newcastle with a new manager
on board and hopefully an end to the injury crisis that has thwarted their
progress this season.
"There are still many reasons to look ahead with optimism," he said.
"This campaign has been beset by numerous injuries to key players but
despite that we had for some time realistic hopes of qualifying for Europe
once again.
"With a summer break and a fully fit squad there is absolutely no reason why
we should not be in the top third of the table from the start of next season
and end it by qualifying for Europe."
總之牧羊人對於Big Sam寄予厚望，
並且認為我們下賽季的排名必須大躍升。
