Kieron Dyer admits he'll do he can to convince good mate Jonathan Woodgate,
the Middlesbrough defender, to join him at Newcastle United next season.
"We saw on Saturday what a class act Jonathan Woodgate is," Dyer, who has
played with the defender for Newcastle and England, told The Times.
"He's a top player, but I don't know if the manager wants him. I don't make
those sorts of decisions in the transfer market, but if we do try and get him
in the summer I will be on the phone every day trying to persuade him to come
back to Newcastle.
"I did that last summer when I knew he was coming back [to England] and I
did the same when he was at Leeds and Newcastle had a bid accepted. But at the
moment he is a Boro player and there were reports during the last international
break that they were close to getting him, so it's a bit disrespectful to be
talking about trying to get him to come to Newcastle at this stage.

如果球隊在夏轉仍然繼續追求他，Dyer說他會盡一切力量去說服Woody回來。)
"I wouldn't be surprised if Real Madrid wanted to keep him. He's proven his
fitness and he could go back to Spain at the end of the season. He's certainly
good enough.
(Dyer認為如果皇馬打算留住Woodgate，他並不會感到意外。
Woody證明了他現在很健康而且很有可能這賽季結束就會回去西班牙。)
I would love him to come to Newcastle, but it's going to be difficult. The
way he is playing at the moment, the fact is, it isn't just going to be
Newcastle and Middlesbrough who are after him.

可能不僅僅只是Boro跟Newcastle之間而已了.....)
"I honestly believe the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal will be
interested in him. There are clubs who can offer him the Champions League so
who knows what is going to happen."
(Dyer認為現在聯賽前四的幾個球隊可能都會對Woody感到興趣，而這些球隊可以提供
他參加歐冠的機會。因此誰知道接下來會發生什麼事。)

但是如果要來這邊很大程度真的要夠耐心，因為某方面來說我們的確在重建
球隊，有了冬季轉會失敗的經驗，夏轉引援可能會增快....
但是我們現在有許多足夠好的球員，Owen這賽季末應該也可以回來。
我們接下來只是需要時間，讓這些球員以及球隊證明我們可以競爭前四。
雖然蠻希望Woody回來，但如果真的美夢成真Taylor的空間也很可能被壓縮....
