Boum almost went bust

Jean-Alain Boumsong has admitted he found life tough at the start of
his Juventus career, but claims he is now content with life in Turin.

The powerful defender joined Juve in the summer from Newcastle,
but a number of early blunders hindered his progress in Serie B.

Boumsong, who also says he has been the victim of racist abuse in Italy,
claims he will never erase the major error he made on his Juve debut
from his memory banks.
Boumsong也說自己在義大利是種族主義者辱罵的受害者，
宣稱他將永遠無法抹去自己在 JUVE初登場就鑄下大錯的回憶。

"I will never forget my first match with Juventus," he told L'Equipe.
"We conceded a draw at Rimini, partly due to me, as I made a mistake.
「我永遠忘不了自己在 JUVE的第一場比賽，我們被 Rimini逼平，
在一定程度上是因為我犯了錯。」

"After that match I was destroyed.
It has been one of the worst moments of my career.
「在那場比賽後我一整個毀了，那是我職業生涯最糟糕的時刻之一。」

"I had just come from a more than difficult season at Newcastle,
and a World Cup experience on the bench.

"But now I believe I have found the right level for the French team.

"If coach Raymond Domenech plays me against Ukraine,
I will be equal to the situation.
「如果主教練 Domenech在對烏克蘭的比賽中用上我，我能勝任這個局面。」

"I hope so much to be called. I deserve the coach to think about me.
「我非常希望可以被徵召，我理應能得到主教練的考量。」

"But if I am not part of the next list, I won't protest.
I am too respectful of Raymond Domenech and the French team."
「不過如果沒有進入下一張大名單，我也不會抗議，
我對 Domenech跟法國國家隊非常尊敬。」
