"We will be looking at starting new contract talks over the summer
with Steven Taylor,"
我們今夏會和史蒂芬泰勒商談一份新合約。
"There is absolutely no reason why he and Andy Carroll cannot play
in the same team together."
誰說他和安迪卡羅不能一同為紐卡而戰？那是狗屁！
"I expect both of them to still be here next season."
兩位下季都仍然會穿著紐卡黑白箭條球衣。
"They are both very important members of the squad.
We have a lot of good young players who you would like to think will continue
to develop at this football club."
他們都是球隊裡非常重要的組合成份。
我們目前有很多很棒的年輕球員，可以確信的是他們都會跟著紐卡一同征戰並成長。
"That includes Steven and Andy – they have been big players for us
this season."
這其中當然包含了史蒂芬和安迪：他們甚至在本季就已經為我們貢獻良多了。
"It is not be all and end all, but it is good to have local lads
playing for the club. It doesn't happen very often anymore, but we have
got four or five in the first-team squad who grew up as Newcastle fans.
That's totally unusual."
出身本地而為故鄉奮鬥的球員最棒了。
不僅如此，我們還有4～5位的一線隊先發球員從小就是紐卡球迷，
長大後夢寐以求地代表紐卡上陣。這是非常難能可貴的！

球員成立工會前就有聽說，我們沒有禁止球員加入。台灣職棒已沒有退路，球員成
立工會的出發點應是重新爭取球迷的認同，否則賭博一再發生，職棒就玩不下去了。
