前米堡、吞特和英格蘭隊主帥，現任德甲狼堡主帥的賽車人（Steve McClaren），
得知紐卡剛簽下Tiote之後，發表了以下高見：
"He (Tiote) was a very valuable member of my squad.
However, in the Dutch system of football, he didn't get as many games
as he deserved, and he'll be more suited to Premier League football.
他曾是我（在吞特）的冠軍陣容中非常重要的成員。
在荷蘭的足球生態裡，他理應得到更多的上場空間，卻無法如願，
所以我認為他將在英超的環境中適應良好（肯給更多機會給不知名的球員上場）。
"He's a very strong and athletic player. He's a natural ball winner,
and he'll acclimatise very well to the English game."
他是一台肉型體能怪物坦克，也是一位天生的奪球者，
英超對他而言，簡直是如魚得水。
"He'll be a big favourite at Newcastle. He's a physical player,
but also very fair.
他將會成為紐卡球迷們的新寵兒。別看他渾身是勁，但同時腦袋也相當聰明。
"He's got a very good engine, and could prove to be a real hit at Newcastle.
He'll be ideal for them, especially in away games when he can sit
in front of the back four.
他動力十足，也將完美地與紐卡這台車子相互配合。他非常適合紐卡。
尤其是當打客場比賽（以防守為主，較主場難踢）時，他可以輕鬆支援後衛群們。
"He's technically very good, and can maybe make more of a contribution
going forward than people would expect.
他的技術出眾，在前場，也許可以帶來比球迷們原先預期還多的貢獻。
"I wish him all the best, and look forward to watching his progress
at Newcastle, where I'm sure he'll do very well.
我祝他往後的生涯一切順利，也迫不及待想看到他在紐卡的成長。
我確信，他能表現的非常非常好。
