Scott Parker will not be able to return to action for Chelsea until April.

The England midfielder broke a bone in his foot in last month's 4-0 win
over Norwich at Stamford Bridge.

Parker had only just come on as a substitute and he bravely tried to battle
on in a bid to impress Jose Mourinho.

The former Charlton man has been desperately trying to break into Mourinho's
starting XI, but his injury blow came at an unfortunate time for the
24-year-old.

Parker has had an X-ray on his foot after the plaster cast was removed,
but the news is not so good for the tenacious midfield man.

"I don't think it will be possible for Scott to return before April,"
said Mourinho.

Parker is desperate to make a name for himself at Stamford Bridge, but he
will now struggle to make an impact in the final few weeks of the season.
