Jonathan Woodgate is back home and back playing regularly for Middlesbrough.

But although there has been talk of a permanent move, he is still very much a
Real Madrid player, so Revista de la Liga's Guillem Balague caught up with
the centre-back this week.

Woodgate admitted that he couldn't be happier with the way things have gone
at the Riverside and looked back at his time at the Bernabeu and gave his
verdict on their newest centre-back, Fabio Cannavaro.

And he also pointed out that he is still very much a Real Madrid player and
hopes the club are keeping a close eye on how well he's doing...
不過Woody表示 現下他還是皇馬的球員 他希望續留Bernabeu 他也將持續努力

GB: So how are things going?
Woody: I feel brilliant. I've been training every day, training in fantastic,
we've got a fantastic manager in Gareth Southgate and most of the lads
are from the north east. They're all good lads and I'm feeling really
good.
GB : 最近過得怎樣?! ( ￣ c￣)y▂ξ
Woody : 還不錯啊! Southgate是個好教練(因為場場首發XD)~
其他大伙兒也都有收到我發的好人卡~
GB: It's also a bit of a fitness test and a personal test for you, both things
at the same time. You want to see how well it all goes...
JW: Obviously I just need to stay fit. But training has benefited me - some
days I just go and do my gym work or an hour of running and don't go out to
train. I just need to stay fit really.
GB : 對於你來說~這是在身體及個人能力上的考驗 你覺得自己做得怎樣?
Woody : 很明顯的只要身體健康我的狀態還是不錯的~當然這裡的訓練絕對對我有所幫助的
GB: And apart from that, Real Madrid are looking into it want to see how far
you can go?
JW: Hopefully they'll be keeping an eye on me, because I'm still their player!
GB : 皇馬也關心你的表現 他們希望你的狀況越來越好?
Woody : 我是皇馬的球員! 我希望他們一直能注意我的表現
GB: So why Middlesbrough?
JW: Because it's my hometown team!
GB : 米堡好吃嗎?
Woody : 家鄉味令人懷念啊! (〒△〒)
GB: Not Sevilla, not Villarreal...
JW: No. There was only one place I was going to go and that was the north east.
GB : 不是Sevilla也不是潛艇...
Woody : 要走我只想回故鄉~ (Boro位於England東北)
GB: In a way though, are you disappointed? Cannavaro has come in, there's
Sergio Ramos, so why couldn't you battle it out for those two places?
JW: Obviously any player wants to fight for his position, but with me, I
haven't played for two years and I need to play week in, week out, so I
thought the best decision for both parties was to go on loan for the year
GB : Canna到來後~你無法和他競爭首發位置你失望嗎?
Woody : 每個球員都想為自己在俱樂部的位置戰鬥 不過我因傷蹉跎了兩年時光
我需要的是持續不斷的上場機會 所以租借到Boro是對雙方最好的選擇
GB: After Fernando Hierro, you had Walter Samuel, you had Ivan Helguera, Pavon,
Mejia, people like that who have really failed in that position, probably
because they weren't covered the way they are now with Emerson and Diarra
in there...
JW: I wouldn't say they've failed. They've played many games for Real Madrid.
Look at Ivan Helguera, he's won two European Cups and I wouldn't like to
say how many leagues he's won. So I wouldn't say any of them have failed,
but it was a difficult position, because we were a bit gung-ho sometimes.
Now they've got Emerson and Diarra in there, it should be easier.
GB : 在Hierro退役 Samuel離開後 ,Helguera, Pavon, Mejia在中衛的位置都未能帶給
球迷信任, 你覺得是否跟Emerson及Diarra來到皇馬前, 皇馬的後腰不振有關?

我想在防守上他們會做得更得心應手
GB: What do you make of the new signing Fabio Cannavaro, who had such a
fantastic World Cup?
JW: For me he was the best player at the World Cup. I was just learning things
off him in training, like getting so tight and he's really quick too.
He's also a really nice bloke and I think he will be a fantastic signing
for Madrid.
GB : 你認為皇馬簽下這位世界杯冠軍神奇義大利隊長如何?
Woody : 他是世界杯表現最好的球員!
Zizou : 喂~金球獎得主是我吧! 不要以為我退役了就聽不到噢! (╯-_-)╯ ┴─┴
Woody : 我曾同他一起練習過~他真的很快 絕對是好後衛 皇馬能簽下他是正確的
GB: Having said that, he struggled against Lyon in the Champions League.
It was like the chaos of centre-backs at Real Madrid. Why is it so
difficult to play centre-back for Madrid?
JW: I wouldn't say it's difficult - everyone has bad games don't they? The
geezer's only human isn't he? He can't play well every game. We all have a
bad game every now and then, but he's still an outstanding talent.
GB : 歐冠對Lyon糟糕的發揮 使得皇馬後防大亂 在皇馬踢後衛是件如此艱難的事嗎?
Woody : 很難說你每場都能不出鎚~每個人都會遇到自己狀況不佳的時候 但你不能否認
他依舊擁有絕佳的能力
GB: One of main contrasts between the two leagues is the changing rooms and how
they are. They're so different, do you feel that's the case?
JW: The atmosphere is different. In our changing room (at Boro) everyone is
having a laugh and a joke, while at Real Madrid it is a bit more serious.
I prefer the English one. It's just the banter. Obviously when I was at
Madrid it was hard - I can speak the language, but I don't know all the
little words. Here it's just brilliant though.
GB : 你覺得在皇馬及米堡在更衣室的氣氛有何差別?
Woody : 差別在於在Boro每個人都很會說笑~在皇馬更衣室我常找不到笑點 ˋ(′～‵")ˊ
可能是我西班牙語還不夠靈光吧!
Raul + Guti : 每次講笑話Woody都不笑 真奇怪?~ ╮(╯_╰)╭
GB: At Real Madrid, who is the leader, who is the one leading all the jokes?
JW: It's probably the Brazilians and Ivan Helguera. The Brazilians are always
happy and I like being around happy people. They've always got their music,
they're always singing, laughing and joking.
GB : 在皇馬誰最會搞笑?
Woody : 應該是把戲人和Helguera吧! 把戲人總是能將周圍氣氛變得很愉悅~
GB: So who was your best friend?
JW: Obviously David (Beckham) because he's English and Tommy (Gravesen),
because he can speak English as well. I go on well with all the players,
but it would have to be David.
GB : 誰是你麻吉?
Woody : 老貝和格光(!)嘍~因為他們英語都很好~
(混過英超的嘛!難怪Sheva要到英超學英文 ...╮(▔▽▔")╭ )
其實我跟大家相處得都不錯~不過老貝和我最麻吉~
GB: Looking back at your Real Madrid career so far, what has been the best
moment, the moment you would frame if you like?
JW: When I score my first goal and jumped on the doctor! When it went in it
was just unbelievable. Obviously my debut wasn't the best, so score a goal
in that game was just fantastic.
GB : 你在皇馬生涯中最棒摩門特的是何時? (奇怪Woody又沒有要走這樣問真欠揍~=.=)
Woody : 當我第一次進球我開心得跳上隊醫身上~那一刻真是令人無法相信
雖然我初登板表現不好~不過進球是最爽的啦~
