Jonathan Woodgate says he is determined to put an injury ravaged two years
behind him at Real Madrid after joining in the Spanish side's pre-season
preparations in Austria.

Since moving from Newcastle in the summer of 2004, Woodgate has rarely been
seen in the famous Real shirt due to a succession of injuries, but after
spending three months training with former club Leeds he is now raring to go.

自從2004年夏天從紐卡斯爾來到之後，Woodgate因為一連串的傷病很少穿上皇馬的球衣

With Fabio Cannavaro a summer target for the Spanish giants, Woodgate's place
could be under threat, but an intensive pre-season could be key to regaining
his fitness and first team chances.

The 26-year-old is looking to impress new Real boss Fabio Capello with the

"I feel good and I am working harder and harder," Woodgate told the club's
official website.

"I went back to see a physiotherapist I know well from my time at Leeds and
who is a close friend.

"Going home was important, to be with the family and friends.

"But I was very happy to get back to Madrid and be with the group.

"I want to focus on playing more games and leave the injuries behind.

"The past two years have been frustrating and I only managed to play a dozen
games.

"My goal is to surpass that. We need to win a title - that's very important
to the team."
