New deal for Magpies keeper
By Alex Livie - Created on 13 May 2007
Newcastle have handed teenager keeper Fraser Forster a new contract.
The 19-year-old has ascended through the ranks of the club's academy and
has been rewarded with a contract which binds him to St James' Park until the
summer of 2009.
跟 Edgar 一樣,Forster獲一紙兩年的合約。
Forster is well down the pecking order at Newcastle, but is eager to put
pressure on the likes of Shay Given and Steve Harper.
Forster已急不及待向一隊門將的目標前進
(說實話這有點難耶,你前面還有 Krul...)
"Being a local lad I'm delighted to sign the contract and it's a proud
moment for all my family," he told the club's official website.
"I was playing schoolboy football a couple of years ago and I've come a
long way since then.
"I'm working with Shay, Steve and Pav every day now in training and it's
fantastic to learn from them.
Forster很高興與Given, Harper, Srnicek一同練習,並同學到很多東西。
"Terry Genoe has also been brilliant and I feel I'm getting better all the
time.
"Hopefully next year I can maybe get a couple of first-team games, but I
just want to play as many times as possible and keep on improving."
Forster希望明年能有一隊上陣機會,當然愈多愈好。
