喬巴頓真心真意訪談

"As far as I'm aware, I had agreed in principle to sign a deal. I want to
 stay at this football club - I have stated that on numerous occasions.

"When stuff happens like what happened during the week, then obviously you
 think, 'Hang on a minute, what is going on here? Is this the right move?
 Is this the right decision to make?'

"But I am enjoying my football here. I love living in the city, the fans
 are brilliant with me - I feel I am building a real rapport with them.


巴頓: 在上週發生的事情,的確很容易讓人去想說
      "ㄍㄢˋ 這球隊發生了什麼事情 等等 我這樣做對嗎 我做了正確的決定嗎"
      但是我很享受我的足球,我住在這裡很快樂,我在這個球隊很愉快.
      球迷對我超級好,我認為我跟他們之間真的建立了默契.


"Obviously I am disappointed that Andy has gone, as are a number of people
 in there, because we felt he was a big part of us building a successful
 football club.


巴頓: 當然我很失望安迪走人.


"But I am told they are going to reinvest the money and as long as that
 happens, I don't think there will be a problem if they invest the money
 quite wisely.

"But that's not my job, my job is to turn up and play football. I did think
 a little bit, 'Is this the right move to make?', but I owe a lot to this
 football club for giving me the chances after I have let them down in the
 past.

"The fans are different class with me and I am keen to stay.


巴頓: 不過我被告知說,賣他薛到的錢會拿去補人.
      只要他們用錢有用大腦還有真的有拿去補人,問題應該不大.

      我的確是有想了一下真的續約乾丟？
      但我欠這支球隊確實太多,這支球隊在我過去讓他們失望後仍然給了我機會.


"It makes a massive statement to everyone if I was to not sign a contract
 and say, 'I am going to wait' and blah, blah, blah. Maybe a few other
 people would be waiting and saying, 'Let's just see what's going to happen'.

"But I am keen to get it signed, draw a line under it and let's start
 moving this football club back in the right direction."


巴頓: 我不打算不簽約又說些五欸摩欸.
      我打算簽約,然後讓我們一起帶這支球隊回到正確的方向.

我眼淚跟鼻涕都要流出來了

雖然過去幾年這傢伙讓我們經歷的失望強度不是普通的強,
去官方商店幫燙他號碼還曾被店員歧視(?
但看他這一年來的表現還有0-4落後永不放棄可以共患難還想續約

感覺真的都值得了.
