United To Make Decision On Lov Fitness

Peter Lovenkrands could be made to wait for his second full debut as the
Dane continues to prove his fitness after completing a deadline-day return to
St.James' Park.
The 29-year-old has been without a club since parting company with the
Magpies at the end of last season.
And, while Lovenkrands spent most of the summer using the training
facilities at former club Rangers, United boss Chris Hughton says that a lack
of match practice could see the Magpies err on the side of caution regarding
his involvement at Cardiff City on Sunday.

"Peter's missed a lot of football during the summer," he explained to
nufcTV.
"I know he's done a lot of work at home by himself because he was aware
that he would be going somewhere.
"But he's missed minutes on the training pitch and on the football field.
"That being the case, we want to try to get him up to speed as soon as
possible."
And, of Lovenkrands' re-signing, Hughton added: "We were always confident
that it would happen.
"It was important that one of the first players we brought in was someone
that the players here knew and trusted.
"He can play in a number of positions and will be a very valuable member
of the squad."
