Milner: We won't be new Leeds By James Pearson - Created on 11 Nov 2006 James Milner has dispelled fears Newcastle United could follow in Leeds United's footsteps and suffer relegation. The Magpies are currently in the Premiership drop zone with last week's loss to Sheffield United leaving them second from bottom in the table. Leeds were unceremoniously dumped out of England's top flight and now find themselves languishing in The Championship, although their debts have been significantly trimmed. Newcastle have a whopping £52 million-a-year wage bill, although Milner believes The Magpies have too much quality to suffer Leeds' fate. "It's completely two different seasons, two different clubs and it's still very early in the campaign," explained Milner. "We've had a poor start but I'm sure we'll turn it around given the quality we've got here. "With the quality of the squad we have we should be well up the league by now and that's the aim. "Maybe in the league we have not had the rub of the green but it will turn for us." Newcastle United take on Manchester City in Saturday's early kick-off, live on Sky Sports 1, at 12:45 (GMT). ------- 曼城賽後: 剛復出的Dyer不太爽,因為他覺得這場會贏..... 另外德哥蠻高興有拿到一分。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.62.77.83
