Promising Whitley Bay striker Lee Kerr has seen his current three-day trial
with United extended to a full week.
The Jarrow-born 19 year-old known as "Sparky" to the Hillheads faithful will
now return to the Northern League title-chasing side for Saturday's trip to
Billingham Town.
Kerr's 20-goal haul so far this season has attracted interest from various
league clubs including ourselves, the mackems, smoggies, Hibernian and
Stockport.

Lee Kerr's trial at Newcastle Utd has been extended. The premiership club
approached Whitley on Tuesday with a view to extending the trial beyond the
original 3 days to a full week.
Lee would have been available to play for the Bay yesterday but the Dunston
game was postponed. He will be available for Saturday's trip to Billingham
Town.
