Newcastle reveal a loss of £6.9m
Newcastle United have reported an operating loss of £6.9m for the six
months to 31 December.
The figures show the Magpies made an operating profit of £3.5m - up
£800,000 on the six months to 31 January, 2006.
However, when the club's transfer dealings are taken in account, that
translates into a loss of £6.9m, up £3.8m on the January 2006 figure.
The results also reveal the club has received £3.3m from their insurers
as compensation for Michael Owen's injury.
