Winger To Equal Toon Record

JAMES Milner is set to equal Shay Given's record of 53 appearances in a
season since United entered the Premiership in 1993.

The 21-year-old has been a virtual ever-present for the Magpies this term
and has failed to figure in just four of the black and whites fixtures.
And if he plays in the final game of the campaign at Watford on Sunday,
Milner will draw level with Irish stopper Given who amassed 53 appearances in
the 2003/04 season.
The England Under-21 star told nufc.co.uk: "I came back from a year on loan
at Aston Villa last summer and the plan was always to stay at Newcastle and
try to get into the team.
