SHEARER SHIRT NO LONGER A BURDEN

　　Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins has admitted he was scared by the
challenge of trying to fill Alan Shearer's boots.

　　The 22-year-old Nigeria international arrived at St James' Park last summer
in a ?0million move from Inter Milan to inherit Shearer's famous number nine
shirt.

　　With Michael Owen facing 10 months on the sidelines, he knew he would have
to provide the bulk of the goals for his new club and although it has been a
tough season for the Magpies, the 17 he has contributed so far represent a
creditable return.

　　Owen and Shola Ameobi, who has been out for six months after hip surgery.
are now both back in harness, but as Martins prepares for Saturday's clash with
Blackburn he is hopeful of adding to his tally having grown into his role.

自Martins從國米加盟新堡後，剛好碰上Owen和Ameobi長期養傷缺陣
加上Martins穿上了Shearer退休後留下的九號球衣，因此被寄予厚望

Martins承認，當初穿上9號球衣讓他感到驚慌有壓力  (明明是你自己挑的  XDD)
但他知道在球隊最艱難的時候，需挺身而出為球隊提供大量進球
所以目前的17個進球是對他的努力最好的回報。
而Owen和Ameobi也相繼復出，Martins希望在競爭下打出符合自己的表現

　　He said: "I have been happy with my first season, but it was never going
to be easy.

　　"Wearing the Newcastle number nine shirt is difficult because everyone
knows the history behind it.

　　"They had Alan Shearer before I came here, and he is a legend.

　　"When I first arrived, I was scared about it because he is such a big name,
but now I feel great and want to finish the season on a high."

　　Martins has this week been linked with a ?3million move to Valencia as they
prepare for the possible departure of David Villa to Champions League finalists
Liverpool.

　　However, the Newcastle striker insists he is happy where he is and is
hoping to add to the two goals he scored in a 3-1 win at Ewood Park in December
this weekend.

　　He said: "It has been a good first year in English football and the players
and the coaches have helped me a lot.

　　"I am happy to stay here and looking forward to next season.

　　"I have happy memories of playing Blackburn - we won 3-1 and I scored two
goals.

　　"Now we have to play them again in an important game, and we have to go out
and get the same result because we really, really need the points.

　　"I remember the two goals and I was pleased with them. But now we have to
play again, so I cannot think about them too much.

對上一次對上黑燒，Martins梅開二度，也是他本賽季最好表現之一
所以Martins希望週末可以再來一次
並協助球隊拿到這重要的三分，以爭取托托盃參賽資格。

　　"We lost our last game at Reading, so we need to go out and get a good
result."

　　That 1-0 defeat at the Madejski Stadium on Monday evening came at a cost as
the Magpies' hopes of claiming the Intertoto Cup place took a further dent as
Antoine Sibierski and Emre suffered injuries which seem certain to sideline
them for the final two games of the season.

　　Martins said: "We all have to get on with the job - and the job is to win.

　　"I have two games left to reach 20 goals, and I will try my very best to do
it."

Martins會在最後兩場聯賽爭取入球，以達到本賽季20球的目標。

　　If Martins is looking forward to the future on Tyneside, Spanish misfit
Albert Luque seems certain to end his miserable two years in England by
completing a move to PSV Eindhoven.

　　It is understood the ?.5million signing from Deportivo La Coruna will spend
next season on loan at the Dutch club, who failed to land him during the
January transfer, with a view to making a permanent switch.


看來Luque走定了  (死砲德！！！！！！)
