衣索比亞籍的短跑傳奇名將Haile Gebrselassie，
受邀參加今年度的Great North Run（北方大馬拉松！），目前暫居領先地位。
趁喘口氣時，他告訴記者：
"It's an area (Newcastle) I love....I know the place. I know
the Newcastle team, especially related to Alan Shearer. I know the club
have just come back to the top league and that is wonderful.
It's a big club to have had that kind of problem, so it's nice they're back."
