Maybe my age recorded on my ID
seems quite astonishing to the younger generation.
The number has shown the vintage of me honestly.
The vintage of wine demonstrates the intoxicating flavor inside the bottle.
The vintage of a beauty reveals
the diminishing charm, attraction and privilege of
being cherished as a young woman in a patriarchal society
How pathetic and superficial it can be
to evaluate the wonderful meaning of a wise woman
merely by the number of her age!
The older the age might symbolize
the closer for one to reach the end of one's life
according to the mentality of the general public
Whenever I look into the mirror,
I really wonder deeply the implication of a bigger number.
Do I truly age more than the one whose age shows smaller than mine?
As long as the face and the body that are with me now
can live as young as they can be
Why do I have to be classified as one of the aging people?
Especially, the heart I carry is ever-renovating the internal program
to update everything at every moment.
All the cells and every bit of my soul are being renewed,
there might be the new brand start for my life
right here right now in this life,
This new form of reincarnation
finds no need to perish the body first,
one only has to get used to rejuvenate oneself
to live forever.
