I remember the first day we met
We were too shy to get closer
The mutual glances at each other
Shedding appreciation and affection reservedly
In unaware nuances
Untold and unsolved complex
Interwoven into the memory of that distant encounter
The feel of dejavu
Whither did it go
we went after
Perhaps the muttering and self-pity
Had well protected the vulnerable admiration
The adorning formalities disguised the clumsy innocence
Yearning for reciprocal concern earnestly
