Charlotte, N.C. - Many athletes, including John Elway, Kobe Bryant, Bruce
Smith, Dan Marino, Bode Miller, Picabo Street and Greg Norman, have had work
done at the Steadman-Hawkins clinic in Vail. Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin
will soon join that list.
Martin is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee at the
Steadman-Hawkins clinic in Vail on Thursday. The Nuggets forward has missed
the past three games after an MRI showed loose bodies in his knee prior to a
game against New York on Nov. 8. While Martin has been projected to be out
6-8 weeks, Nuggets athletic trainer Jim Gillen said a better timetable would
be known after surgery.
"I've heard it reported from sources that it will take anywhere from two
weeks to six months," Gillen said. "Until after the surgery, we won't know."
Martin missed 22 games last season with right knee problems. The 6-foot-9,
240-pounder had microfracture surgery on his right knee in the summer of
2003. Martin joined the Nuggets on their four-game road trip in Charlotte on
Saturday, but will be back in Colorado on Wednesday in preparation for the
surgery.
休息2周到6個月都有可能,要等到手術過後才會有確切的時間@@
