NENE IS OK

The Nuggets received a scare when forward Nene, who missed the final 81 games
last season because of a torn right anterior cruciate ligament, went down in
the first half of Friday's 108-101 win.

But athletic trainer Jim Gillen says not to worry about Nene, who suffered a
right knee bruise.

"He bruised it a little bit," said Gillen, unsure if Nene will play Sunday at
Charlotte. "He hyper- extended it a bit. But the doctor said the surgery is
fine. He'll be sore for a day or two."
