這樣翻比較像是譯者自己的意譯/詮釋而非實際歌詞所顯示
我比較不贊同的地方是他把原文 when... 的句型改成「即使...」
兩種語氣有點不一樣 (Pats翻成： 我起身 當我失落)
I do believe I got flare 我真的相信我掌握瞬息火光
這一句譯者翻得比我的精確 (Pats翻成：我深信我擁有火焰)
因為 "flare" 其實是指「搖曳的火焰;閃爍的光」
我簡譯為“火焰”
I got speed and I walk on air 超越極速 走路有風
這也傾向譯者自己的詮釋，不過還滿抓得到精神的
我自己比較字面的翻成：我有速度 而且行走於空氣之上
Cos God gimme soul in your rock’n’roll (babe) 因為上帝賜給我靈魂和搖滾樂
這邊我覺得他翻得不恰當的地方是把 "soul in your rock 'n' roll"
硬轉成 "soul and your rock 'n' roll"
我是翻成：因為上天給我一個靈魂 在你的搖滾樂裡
And I get so high I just can’t feel it 我心情很 high 只是沒有察覺
這句的錯誤是比較離譜的
明明就有"so... that..."(是如此的...以至於...)的句型
應該是太 high 了以至於到達了感覺不到的境界
我翻成：我到達如此的高峰 幾乎感覺不到
I can’t sleep – cos the world won’t wait 我睡不著 因為世界等不了
這裡翻譯有一點點問題
白話的意思是「我不能睡因為世界不等人」
我自己在翻譯歌詞的時候會注意幾點：
1. 儘量不要太過去詮釋延伸原文的含義，重點是正確傳達作詞者的原意而非我的創意
2. 儘量做到和原歌詞分行的特性相同
3. 儘量能押韻就押韻，保持歌詞的特色，不要變成散文
4. 一定是中英對照讓讀者可以方便檢視
