PATSY KENSIT PULLS OUT OF FILM
Actress Patsy Kensit today announced she is quitting a new movie starring
Roger Moore and Tom Conti after being struck down with a stomach bug.
The 31-year-old star is suffering a bad bout of gastroenteritis and has
pulled out of filming the British production The Enemy.
Kensit had yet to shoot any scenes in the espionage thriller, which producers
are about to start filming on location in Luxembourg.
She was to have played the part of a CIA agent, and producers at the Carousel
Picture Company were said to be urgently casting for a replacement.
Kensit, who is married to Liam Gallagher of Oasis, was said to be very
disappointed.
Her spokesman, Steve Dagger, said: "Patsy Kensit has been unable to take part
in filming a feature film, The Enemy, starring Roger Moore and Tom Conti, as
previously announced due to a bad bout of gastroenteritis.
"Doctors have advised her to rest for a week and this has made it impossible
to take part in the filming as shooting schedules could not be moved, much to
the regret of the producers and the Carousel Picture Company and Ms Kensit."
He added: "She is so disappointed about it because it was to be her first
movie since having her baby."
Kensit fans will at least have a chance to see her when her latest movie
opens in Britain on May 5. She plays the head of a typing pool in Janice
Beard: 45 Words Per Minute, which also stars Notting Hill actor Rhys Ifans.
