Cheers! Patsy "Gallagher" GALLAGHER TAILGUNNING FOR GLORY! Mark Coyle - Hopes Noel's presence will drum up support for his band NOEL GALLAGHER's side project band TAILGUNNER will release their eponymous debut album, through NO LABEL RECORDS in September, nme.com can reveal. Oasis producer and Tailgunner vocalist Mark Coyle contacted nme.com last week to speak about the new album, which was intended for release through Creation Records last year but was shelved. Coyle formed Tailgunner 18 months ago. Copies of the band's album were pressed and originally set for release on Creation Records, but following the demise of label last year, Coyle was left without a record deal. He told nme.com: "We've been in limbo for a few months trying to get clear of Sony. We're going to go with No Label...get away from London and keep it up here and to ourselves. Not get caught up in the mainstream quite yet." Noel Gallagher, who is reported to have quit Oasis in today's Daily Mirror newspaper, plays drums on six tracks on the album, 'Undercover', 'Living For Real', 'Coming Back Home', 'Crazy Horse', 'Acetone' and 'All Shook Up'. Gallagher offered to drum after the long-time pals met up again while Noel was demoing material for what became 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants'. Tailgunner plan to do an eight-date Scottish tour in August, followed by a full English tour in September. Noel Gallagher will not be playing drums with the band on any of the live dates. -- I was dreading patting Meg on the back as she throws up in the sink. That'd be a bit of a role reversal.
