由多位知名詞曲創作者共同評選出的百大好歌
從入選的名單看來
這次的評審似乎偏愛六七零年代的經典團
多少失去了現代感
低估了九零年代的影響力...

Oasis in all time favourite songs lists
Some of the world's finest songwriters have collaborated to compile a
list of what they consider to be the greatest songs of all time, and
topping the list are songs from two of the country's most famous
bands.
The Beatles' In My Life, an autobiographical tune written by John
Lennon about his home town of Liverpool, pipped the Rolling Stones'
Satisfaction for first place in a list that included Over The
Rainbow, Tracks Of My Tears and You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'.
However, the list lacks a strong modern influence with most of the
songs coming from the 1960s and 1970s. Recent pop songs are the
exception rather than the rule, with only 10 of the top 100 songs
composed after 1980.
Beatles songs figured prominently throughout the list, along with
other celebrated songwriters like Bob Dylan, Billie Holiday and Simon
and Garfunkel.
And while normally it is their songs that feature on such lists
songwriters including Paul McCartney, Hal David, the Beach Boys'
Brian Wilson, Cynthia Weil who wrote You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'
and Motown's Lamont Dozier each nominated 20 favourite songs to help
compile the poll which appears in next month's issue of the music
magazine Mojo.
While the top 100 is loaded with classic songs, there are some
unexpected placings, with Britney Spears's Baby One More Time ranked
higher than The Buzzcocks' Ever Fallen In Love, and Desperado by The
Eagles.
Jim Irvin, senior editor of Mojo, said the appearance of pop's teen
sensation should not be that surprising. "It might look odd, but
there are a lot of people I know who feel that it's a genius piece of
songwriting."
Cheers!
