Ashcroft dedicates new single to Liam
I thought Richard Ashcroft's set at V2000 on Sunday night was
stunning.
He belted through classics like The Drugs Don't Work, New York,
History, Lucky Man and Space And Time.
It was like The Verve at their best.
He dedicated new single C'Mon People to Liam: "The best rock and roll
star this country has ever produced."
Meanwhile, organisers have defended their decision to stop Paul
Weller and Noel Gallagher's impromptu duet.
Bob Angus, festival director, said: "Paul was already running 15
minutes over."
