Noel and Meg split up
Oasis pop superstar Noel Gallagher has split up from his wife Meg Mathews.
A spokeswoman for Gallagher said the couple had "simply drifted apart".
Noel, 33, and Meg, 34, have a baby daughter, Anais, who was born in January.
The couple's relationship began when Oasis was still in its infancy and they
had lived through "the whole meteoric rise of the band and the turbulent years
that followed, always under the constant glare of the media", the spokeswoman
said.
"Many things have changed in that time, including themselves it would seem."
The spokeswoman said that for the time being, the couple have agreed to
separate amicably.
"The couple are still friends and are still devoted to Anais. At the moment,
it's a separation," she added.
