THE FUTURE OF OASIS IS ABOUT 'WRITING GREAT SONGS'
Liam Gallagher told dotmusic yesterday that Oasis are very much
together and that the band's future is about "writing great songs".
Despite rumours over the summer that Oasis were going to split, the
band played rollicking headline performances at Reading and Leeds
Festival rubbishing all previous speculation.
One British tabloid reported today (Wednesday November 1st) that the
Noel Gallagher is planning an Oasis UK for early next year and
another newspaper has alleged that the band will be playing a series
of dates in South America. Their spokesperson was unavailable for
comment this morning.
Speaking to the mouthy rock star yesterday immediately after the Q
Awards at the Park Lane Hotel in London, dotmusic asked if there were
likely to be any more awards for Oasis? The singer replied: "I'm not
arsed about all that, I've had all these awards."
The singer passionately continued: "Now it's about making music and

being real with each other, about being able to go into the studio
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
and know each other inside out. To be able to say 'so you're a good

song writer and maybe I'm a better one', and 'lets all work together'.

"That's what the future is for us, writing great songs. There is
gonna be another great band soon and there should be. If there's not
then I'm gonna pack it in."
Liam went on to patriotically support music from his homeland. He
said: "People go on about English music man, and how it's shit. I

think it's f***in' great! I went to Coldplay the other night and they

were mega.

"I've seen Travis and Stereophonics and they were good. Music is

f***in'good man. We're not rappers, we make rock'n'roll music in

England and in America they make rap music or whatever. There are a
