Noel以頒獎人的身份出席
把"傑出音樂貢獻獎"頒給了U2
在引言的時候Noel說到
"This award is for a band who've apparently had a great impact on music.
They've certainly has great impact on my record collection!"
("這個獎顯然是為了在音樂上有深遠影響的樂團所設立的,(今年的這個團體)他們當然
也深遠的影響了我的唱片收藏!")
而U2主唱Bono也半開玩笑的回敬道
"they've got two Irishmen in their band!"
("他們的樂團也有我們2個愛爾蘭同胞呢!")
意指Liam和Noel 1/2 的愛爾蘭血統

NOEL AT THE BRITS
26 Feb - Noel Gallagher was at the Brit Music Awards in London to present U2
with the award for "Outstanding Contribution To Music"
Noel Gallagher paid tribute to U2, before presenting the band with the
Outstanding Contribution award, at the close of The Brits. He said:
"This award is for a band who've apparently had a great impact on music.
They've certainly has great impact on my record collection!"
U2 then made their acceptance speech with Bono mentioning oasis in his speech
joking that "they've got two Irishmen in their band!" in reference to
the Gallaghers Irish parents. Noel raised his fist in celebration at the end
of the Dublin bands award.
