Noel and Sara to tie the knot
Oasis start recording 5th album
Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher has called a truce with his former
wife Meg Mathews, paving the way for a second marriage to his
girlfriend, PR executive Sara MacDonald. Gallagher and MacDonald have
been dating since last summer and the relationship has shown every
sign of turning into a long-term thing. `Unlike Meg, Sara isn't a
party girl,' says a friend. `She likes to keep out of the limelight
and Noel likes that.' According to the friend, Noel and Meg met last
week for lunch in a quiet London West End restaurant, their first
meeting without solicitors present since they separated. Both were
concerned about the effect that their long, drawn-out divorce battle
could be having on their baby daughter Anais. Furthermore, the friend
reports that Noel will be announcing his engagement to Sara MacDonald
as soon as a financial settlement with Meg is reached. Mathews looks
set to receive around ￡2.5 million in the next few months. Meanwhile,
Oasis have started work on their fifth album. The band is aiming to
have the new album in the shops by August and a single could be
released in June.
