身為哥哥的他
在聽過Liam的處女作"Little James"之後
也經常鼓勵他繼續寫歌
"這(指創作)難道不是生命中很棒的經歷之一嗎?"Noel如此告訴Liam

Gallagher adores U2
Oasis star Noel Gallagher has nothing but praise for Irish rockers U2 -
because they've defied all odds by staying together for over 20 years. He
said: "Think about it. For four of them to stay together that long, with the
same management and people around them is quite staggering. America didn't
break them, they broke America. They've also done some pretty cutting edge
music, and when you meet them they're the nicest f***ing guys in the world."
He added: "They can drink anybody under the table. I don't care what anybody
says, they write brilliant songs. But I wish The Smiths had gone on to became
as big as U2, because being from Manchester, I felt closer to them."
Gallagher also insisted that his brother Liam is actually a shy person
underneath all his bluster and bravado. And after Liam'sfirst venture as a
songwriter with Little James, Noel is trying to convince his errant brother
that the joys of songwriting outweigh the pleasures of hellraising. He said:
"Anybody who wears sunglasses 24 hours a day has got something wrong. That's
psychology that, man." He added: "When I heard his song I turned down the
volume and said, 'Isn't that the best feeling you've ever had in your life?'
I told him to concentrate on things like that from now on - not getting
thrown out of hotels or smashing airplanes up. Songwriting is a much better
buzz."
