BALTIMORE (AP)—Outfielder Luke Scott agreed to a $2.4 million, one-year contract with the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, avoiding arbitration. Scott hit .257 with 23 homers and 65 RBIs in 2008, his first season with Baltimore, and he made $430,000. He joined the Orioles as one of five players traded from Houston in the deal that sent shortstop Miguel Tejada to the Astros. The 30-year-old Scott has a .266 career batting average, 51 home runs and 170 RBIs in 379 games. He was originally drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the ninth round of the 2001 amateur draft. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.171.144.53
