標題[問題] employment is "at will"是合法的嗎？

我剛收到offer letter，裡面有一項是period of emplyment
內容大概是這樣
Your employment with the Company will be "at will", meaning that either
you or the Company will be entitled to terminate your employment at
any time and for any reason, with or without cause.
Any contrary representations are superseded by this offer.
This is the full and complete agreement between you and the Company.
也就是說隨時都有可能沒有理由被解雇
這樣不是很沒有保障嗎？
不知道有沒有人的offer letter也有這項
有沒有可能跟公司商討這個的內容
或是做什麼來保障自己的權益呢？
