選秀會前夕，溜馬意圖盤來騎士的第十順位選秀權失敗，騎士自己也很想要來自
奧勒岡大學的Luke Jackson，於是拒絕了溜馬的提議，總裁大鳥只能失望的看著
騎士選走心儀的對象。
另一方面對公牛的提議，想盤來第七順位的選秀權，也在公牛強烈表示希望能把
Eddie Robinson塞進這個交易包裹裡面，而溜馬不願接受後作罷。選秀會前的兩
個交易提議最後都以失敗作收。
Luke Jackson不出意外的在第十順位被騎士選走：而溜馬在首輪最後一個順位則
選擇了來自 Colorado 的七呎中鋒 David Harrison。

Pacers unable to trade for Jackson

The Indiana Pacers' efforts to trade up in the NBA draft to get
Luke Jackson failed today, as Cleveland decided to keep the Oregon guard.
The Cavaliers drafted Jackson with the 10th pick and rejected the
Pacers' trade overtures.
Jackson's agent, Mark Bartelstein and Pacers' forward Al Harrington --
who reportedly had been offered to the Cavs for the pick -- both
confirmed Cleveland's intention to keep the pick.
Pacers president Larry Bird, directing his first draft, had stated his
desire to try to obtain Jackson earlier in the week.
The Pacers also offered Harrington to Chicago for the seventh pick, but
that deal fell through when the Bulls insisted the Pacers take forward
Eddie Robinson in the deal.
Jackson, a 6-7 swingman, averaged 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.5
assists as a senior at Oregon last season.
