The Denver Nuggets rebounded from last night's loss to Utah in the
Reebok Rocky Mountain Revue to take a 98-73 win over a combined team
of players from the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Denver led from start to finish, leading at times by as many as 25
points. Four Denver players finished in double figures, led by Nene
with 24 points, Carmelo Anthony with 22 points and Nikoloz Tskitsishvili
and Igor Rakocevic with 14 each. Indiana/Philadelphia was led by Amal
McCaskill with 17 points and Sam Clany with 14. Denver shot 52 percent
for the game and was 26-35 from the free throw line, compared to the
combined team’s 44 percent from the field and just 10-13 from the line.
Denver moves to 1-1 in the Revue while Indiana/Philadelphia is 0-1.

Denver jumped out to quick 11-4 lead to start the game and led 18-8
with 2:10 to go. The combined Pacers/76ers team then went on a 10-4
run to close to within four at the end of the quarter at 18-22. Denver's
Nene led the Nuggets with seven first quarter points while three players
for the combined team had four each.

Denver extended its lead in the second quarter to 12 at 43-31 with
2:30 remaining in the half behind Carmelo Anthony’s eight points
and Nene added another six. Denver led at the end of two periods,
46-35. Indiana/Philadelphia was led by Sam Clancy’s five points off
the bench. Denver shot 46 percent for the first half on 14-30 from the
field while the combined team shot 51 percent on 17-33. Denver visited
the free throw line 22 times in the first half, hitting 17 of those
attempts while the combined team had just three attempts, hitting just one.

Both teams nearly played even in the 3rd, with the Nuggets holding a
21-19 advantage and increasing their halftime lead to 13. Nene added
another nine for the Nuggets while Amal McCaskilll had seven for the
combined team.

Denver plays New York tomorrow in the final game of the evening at
8 PM MT. Indiana/Philadelphia has the night off and returns to play on
Tuesday at 2 PM MT.
