只是想解釋一下, 這篇recap真的"作文寫得很好":p
Tracy McGrady measured the distance between his Orlando team and the
Indiana Pacers and came up with an analysis.
"We're a long shot away," he said.
沒錯, 這句話就是t板友所說的兩種意思, 一語雙關
t-mac的意思是, 現階段看起來, 兩隊的實力差很多(a long shot away)
Literally. McGrady fired plenty of long shots in the Pacers' 114-107
victory at Conseco Fieldhouse on Tuesday, and hit most of them.
差一個long shot是吧(雙關:3分球), t-mac買給你~~, long shot要幾個有幾個
But even his 43 points weren't enough to overcome the Pacers' typical
balance and depth, not to mention their atypical shooting.
這句也很妙, 他的43分還是不足以贏過溜馬隊"典型"的平衡與深度
惶論今天溜馬"非典型"的投籃命中率 (翻"反常"比較好啦, 但是要故意跟"典型"對比)

卡萊爾強調, 客場作戰致勝之道就在於, 不管場上的氣氛如何, 打自己的節奏就對了
這樣比較不容易在對方主場被打到high起來就亂了節奏
(當然, 我知道今天是我們主場, 只是順帶一提)
他說我們今天其實跟著魔術隊的節奏在打球, 不過領先那麼多他就覺得ok:)

字面上的"long shot", t-mac是投了一個又一個
但是有沒有達到t-mac說兩隊實力差距的(抽象的)long shot呢?
