小歐終於說出像樣一點的話了，在接受波多黎各媒體採訪時，
他表示他已經與即將成為總教練的Rick Carlisle通過電話，
以下是他對媒體所說的話：
"I'm here to help him. I'm here to play hard. I'm willing to do whatever it
takes to win. The bottom line is that everybody has a goal and that's to win.
There's no in-between in that. He's a guy who really believes in me and I'm
going to believe in him as my coach. I hope people don't confuse my comments
about management and my goals. My goals are still the same. I'm not going to
come in and play half-assed. I'm going to try to lead Indiana to the Finals."
