PHOENIX, March 6 (AP)-- Boris Diaw is expected back in the Phoenix starting
lineup Wednesday night when the Suns play the Charlotte Bobcats.

The versatile, 6-foot-8 Frenchman has missed nine games because of back spas
ms but practiced on Tuesday and pronounced himself ready to return.

Diaw is shooting a career-best 53.5 percent from the field, averaging 9.9 po
ints per game. His 5.1 assists average is tops among NBA power forwards and

He tried to come back Feb. 27 at Indiana but lasted only seven ineffective m
inutes. After that, it was back to street clothes and more waiting.

D'Antoni said he would put Diaw back in the starting lineup, rather than bri
ng him off the bench.

"The biggest part is if he wakes up OK, if he doesn't wake up sore or whatev
er, but he looked good,'' D'Antoni said. "He can play like this.''

Diaw said that would be best for him, too.

Part of Diaw's absence coincided with the shoulder injury that sidelined Nas
h for three games. Phoenix lost those three but 7-1 since Nash came back after
the All-star break.

7胜1負.
Diaw's return would send Kurt Thomas back to the bench and would give D'Anto
ni full roster of players for the first time since mid-January. That's when
Thomas went down with a left elbow injury. He returned on Feb. 20.
Diaw先發的話,KT要回到替補了.這樣D'Antoni自從一月中以來第一次陣容齊整了.
KT一月中的時候左肘受傷,2月20日才重新投入比賽.
