Dan D'Antoni could check out Leandro Barbosa's statistics, smile and
congratulate himself on a job well done.
    D.D'Antoni看了本季小巴的攻守統計數據後，可以含笑而去了，啊！不是，是可以自
信滿滿地嗆聲說自己又幹了一件好事。

The Suns assistant coach has served as Barbosa's personal mentor the past two
seasons. Under such tutelage - and talent probably factors in somewhere -
Barbosa has blossomed. He averages 17.2 points and swishes jumpers in the
clutch, putting his name in nearly every Sixth Man Award conversation.
    身為太陽的助理教練，D'Antoni過去兩個球季以來都擔任了小巴私人教師的角色。在
他的特別照顧之下 - 當然啦，也得要他本身有一定程度以上的天份 - 小巴總算開苞，啊

D'Antoni recognizes this and gives credit to his student, but insists there is
work to be done and practice drills to conduct, especially on defense. The goal
is to turn Barbosa into a defensive presence in the Shawn Marion mold, someone
who deflects passes and comes up with game-changing steals.

D'Antoni works with Barbosa on the Suns' practice court two hours before every
game. He still gives Barbosa reminder notes, a ritual he began last year, only
this season they're more detailed. Instead of telling Barbosa to stay patient
and use his teammates, he reminds him how to fight through screens and to use
his quickness to raid the passing lanes.
    每場比賽開始前兩小時D'Antoni會陪同和小巴在太陽練習場進行訓練。他會給予小巴

"He's a great student, because he wants it so bad," D'Antoni said. "We always
go one step at a time. Like I told him last year: You can't (learn everything)
in one day. We'll go a little at a time - and I've timed it so that I'll retire
on the last little bit."

Barbosa averages 32.3 minutes per game. He has started 13 times - filling in
for injured regulars - but for the most part, his role starts each night from
the bench, waiting to get the go-ahead, leaping to make a spark.

As the season winds down, coach Mike D'Antoni is trying to rest his starters,
but it's not always easy.
    在例行賽越來越接近尾聲的時候，M.D'Anoti試著讓他的先發球員們有更多休息的時間
，不過說的簡單，實行起來可通常不那麼順利。

Raja Bell hit four of his first five shots against New Orleans last week, but
D'Antoni then brought him to the bench with 5:26 left in the first quarter to
rest Bell's sore knees. Bell didn't score again until the fourth quarter.
    上週對上紐奧良黃蜂的比賽中R.Bell前5次出手命中4球，但D'Antoni在第一節剩下5分
26秒時就將他換下場，希望讓Bell酸痛的膝蓋有更充分的休息時間。之後Bell一直到第四

"I'm going, 'Great, I just iced my guy,' " D'Antoni said. "But if a guy is
showing wear and tear, I got to rest him a little. It's a fine line, because
you don't want to get him out of his rhythm."

Bell told D'Antoni he feels great, but the coach didn't rule out giving Bell a
couple days off if the pain becomes a problem.

，那教練也不排除讓Bell休息幾天，專心養傷。
