Suns crowds have never had much in the way of celebrity staples. Sporadic
support from Alice Cooper and John McCain is about as good as it gets.
    太陽的觀眾席甚少出現星光閃閃的情形，最多也不過是搖滾歌手A.Cooper和亞利桑那
州參議員J.McCain會偶爾出現罷了。

The Suns' celebrity meter does not approach the status of the Los Angeles
Lakers (Jack Nicholson), New York Knicks (Spike Lee), or even the LA Clippers (
Billy Crystal) and San Antonio Spurs (Eva Longoria).
    擁護太陽的名人都不像支持洛杉磯湖人的老牌影星J.Nicholson、紐約尼克的名導S.
Lee，或星度更次一級，洛杉磯快艇的多才藝人B.Crystal和聖安東尼奧馬刺的名模E.

But as far as ownership, the Suns have a weighty name carrying more recognition
than NBA part-owners Nelly (Charlotte), Jay-Z (New Jersey) or Usher (Cleveland)

Sid and Jenny Craig have one of 15 ownership stakes in the Suns. They live near
San Diego but still are US Airways Center regulars.

The Craigs, reportedly worth $150 million after founding Jenny Craig weight
loss centers in 1983, were part of the ownership group Robert Sarver formed for
his 2004 purchase of the Suns. They have been friends and investment partners
for seven years and were Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., neighbors until the Sarvers
moved to Paradise Valley in August.

The Craigs flew on the plane they co-owned with the Sarvers for every playoff
game last season and joined Suns training camp in Italy. They attend about
one-third of regular-season games in Phoenix. The Craigs, in their 70s, said it
is the most fun they have experienced in business.

"This is all fun because any pressure gets on Robert," said Sid Craig, whose
business start came with a rise from part-time dance instructor to Arthur
Murray franchisee and board director. "Some people might recognize Jenny from
her old ads but we don't have people asking if we own the Suns."

Most people did not know because, as Sarver said, the Craigs "are very low key
and just the sweetest people in the world."

This is not the Craigs' first sports business venture. Sid Craig nearly bought
the San Diego Padres, and "jokes about serving carrots instead of popcorn upset
(then-owner) Joan Kroc," Sid said. He also sought to buy the San Antonio Spurs
(he wanted to make college roommate Jerry Tarkanian the coach).

The Craigs also have been heavily involved in horse racing, living on a
hillside above a 237-acre training facility with 100 Thoroughbreds. Jenny paid
$2.5 million for Dr Devious as a birthday present to Sid. Dr Devious finished
seventh in the 1992 Kentucky Derby and won the Epsom Derby in England before
being sold for $6 million.
    Craig夫婦玩賽馬也玩很大，他們在山坡上擁有一座佔地237英畝的訓練場地，裡面養
了100匹的純種良馬。Jenny付了250萬美金買了一匹名為D.Devious的好馬作為Sid的生日禮
物。那匹馬曾在'92年全美最有名的肯塔基賽馬大會中留下第7名的好成績，而且在以600萬
元美金被賣掉之前還贏過英國最古老的埃普瑟姆賽馬大會。

"Horse racing is exciting but not extended exciting," Jenny said. "This (Suns
ownership) is prolonged exciting.
    "賽馬很刺激但無法持續很久，"Jenny說。"能獲得太陽經營權讓我感到更為刺激。"

"I'm the answer to every guy's dream. I love sports more than he does."

The Craigs held a party for team members, staffers and their families during a
preseason visit to San Diego. The Suns came away awestruck by the grounds and
Sid's car collection, including Franklin Delano Roosevelt's touring limousine,
Al Capone's bulletproof Cadillac with holes for machine guns and Clark Gable's
Mercedes 300 Gullwing.
    在季前球隊成員、職員及其家庭到聖地牙哥拜訪時，Craig夫婦為他們舉辦了一場宴會
