The Suns will endure four games in five days to end the regular season as if
the days were the five before Christmas.

still is within two games.

This is the second time the Suns and Lakers have played this week and the third
in 41 days. Phoenix won the previous two after losing the season opener in Los
Angeles. The Suns angled to face the Lakers in last year's playoffs. They wound
up on the brink of first-round elimination before winning in seven games.
Stoudemire said he would not expect a similar series this year.
    這場比賽是太陽和湖人本週第二次交手也是41天內第三次碰面。太陽在開幕賽輸給湖
人後兩次對戰都順利討回顏面。太陽在去年季後賽也曾與湖人捉對廝殺。他們在第一輪血

"I don't think it would go seven (games)," Stoudemire said. "I think we would
take care of them pretty quick, hopefully, if everything goes as planned. The
Lakers are playing great. We can't underestimate them or anything but hopefully
we can take care of them early and move on to the second round."

loss tonight at Minnesota or Sunday at Dallas, Phoenix would clinch the second
seed before its final two games. In the meantime, Phoenix will stick with the
starting lineup used for the first time Wednesday with James Jones added to
Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, Bell and Stoudemire.

don't, we've got to push through.

"We want to win a championship. All the other stuff we've done before and it
really isn't that rewarding."

Phoenix passed last season's 54-win total but Nash said this team still is
working to catch that conference finalist in another regard.

"Last year's team was special in that we were really undermanned and that we
had great chemistry," he said. "This year, we're deeper and bigger and more

- more equipped. It's going to be exciting to see if we can improve through the
playoffs."

"It's probably true," Stoudemire said. "As far as the team standpoint and the
main goal, we are on the right track as of today. We feel good about our

come together to win a championship."
