The Suns can look as great as their recent seven-game winning streak with
improved defense and potent offense, or as ordinary as losing at Detroit and
Boston successively.

來，但經過活塞與塞爾提克這兩場比賽之後，太陽似乎又變成了一支平凡的球隊了。

No team has beaten Boston twice this season, and Phoenix was not going to be
the first with anything less than a model game against a Celtics team just
dealt its second losing streak. The Suns found the near perfection they would
need with a 37-point second quarter to escape one hole but dug a deeper one
in the second half Wednesday to wind up routed, 117-97.

The Suns were tied with Boston four minutes into the second half but scored
10 points over the next 10 minutes. Boston's Paul Pierce, who shot 2 of 13 in
a Feb. 22 loss at Phoenix, was hot on a 27-point night and extended the lead
to as much as 23 with the help of some of Kevin Garnett's 30 points and
back-to-back 3-pointers from ex-Suns guard Eddie House.

All of the Suns' precision in making 14 of 17 shots in the second quarter
against the NBA's best defense vanished in the third quarter, when Phoenix
made seven of its 21 turnovers. Boston scored 30 points off Suns turnovers
and another 22 on second-chance points. With those numbers and a season-low
two fast-break points, the Suns took 18 fewer shots than Boston and only one
more than their season low. After being outrebounded twice in Shaquille
O'Neal's first 16 games, Detroit and Boston each did it.

在第二節的時候，太陽的命中率是相當精準的，總共投17中14。但到了第三節之後，太
陽的進攻火力又開始失蹤了，並且在該節中發生了7次的失誤(全場21次失誤)。而對方也
靠著太陽的多次失誤，在失誤方面攻得了30分，並且在第二波的進攻機會上取得了22分。
由以上這些數據來看，並且再加上太陽在快攻得分上只有兩分的進帳、並且整體出手的
次數比對方少了18次之多(全部出手次數只比本季最低出手次數多一次而已)，你就知道
為什麼這一場太陽會輸球了。這也是在大歐加入到陣容之後的16場比賽裡，首次連續兩
場比賽我們的總籃板數比對方少。

good rhythm about us."

Boston made a point of getting the ball to Garnett in the post more against
Amaré Stoudemire than it did in the first meeting. The Suns shot 55.9
percent but also gave up 52.3 percent shooting.

Stoudemire had a 22-point first half but traveled on his only two chances to
score in the second half's first eight minutes. When he finally got shots, he
missed a turnaround and had Garnett block a drive. When coach Mike D'Antoni
surrendered by pulling Nash and O'Neal with 4:12 to go and a 110-88 hole,
Stoudemire had made one second-half shot. He finished with 32 points.

loose," Stoudemire said. "Me and Garnett, it's like a chess match. You've got
to take one or the other out. Tonight, we canceled each other out."

lead but left with two fouls at that point. He scored six in the second,
eight in the third and six in the fourth but made his biggest impact
defensively in the third.

to deny him the ball a little bit and they went away from him a couple of
times when I did that. I made him play some defense."
