[外電] Stoudemire’s 36 Points Helps Suns Beat Warriors

Five days after grinding out a win over San Antonio playing their game, the
Suns showed they can still run and gun with the NBA's newly crowned
gunslingers as well.

Unable to use Shaquille O'Neal to their advantage against the nimble
Warriors, Phoenix still had enough muscle from Amaré Stoudemire and 12
3-pointers from their perimeter players to beat Golden State in a 123-115
track meet Thursday at US Airways Center.

由於大歐在這場比賽犯規次數上升的太快，使得禁區內對上勇士的這一點優勢喪失掉了

The Suns now have their first three-game winning streak since Jan. 25-29 and
put 2½ games between themselves and the Warriors, the eighth seed in the
West.

"They still haven't forgotten (how to play small ball)," Golden State coach
Don Nelson said. "We just tried to play our game and we weren't real good at
it tonight. We didn't have enough juice and I thought they played very well."

After turning the ball over 12 times in the first half and watching the
Warriors turn it into a 62-57 halftime lead, the Suns tightened things up and
took control with a 15-3 run late in the third quarter. Stoudemire finished
with 36 points - hitting 13 of 21 shots - and added 11 rebounds and four
blocks.

speed us up, and when we go big we have Shaq."

Diaw and Barbosa combined for 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists off
the bench as the Suns were able to outlast the Warriors, who were playing on
back-to-back nights but never stopped attacking until the final minute.

Baron Davis had a game-high 38 points but needed 30 shots to get there, and
Monta Ellis needed 22 shots to get his 23. The Warriors put up 105 shots -
thanks in part to 20 offensive rebounds. But Steve Nash (21 points, 13
assists) and Raja Bell (18 points) each had three of their four 3-pointers in
the second half when the Suns played the final 17 minutes without O'Neal and
reverted back to their bread-and-butter.

Nash had 14 points, six assists and one turnover in the second half and was
the catalyst for Phoenix's 38-24 third quarter.

"We didn't turn it over (with the small lineup) and they didn't get as many
run-outs because we got back better," D'Antoni said. "They missed some shots,
but I thought the little things we did were key."

The Suns were forced to play a zone defense to keep O'Neal in the middle with
"center" Al Harrington hanging at the 3-point line, but even that ploy didn't
keep him out of foul trouble.

附近的攻擊，但即使是如此，大歐還是有了犯規麻煩。

The Suns shot 55 percent from the field in the first half, but took 13 fewer
shots and trailed because of carelessness with the basketball and distraction
with the referees.

Golden State turned 12 Phoenix turnovers into 15 points - most of them on the
fast break - and led by as many as seven despite shooting only 43 percent.
Davis and Ellis combined for 35 points and took 28 of their team's 51 shots.

inside, grabbing 10 offensive rebounds. But the Suns stayed in the game
thanks to Stoudemire's 17 points and 21 points off the bench from Diaw
(eight) Barbosa (seven) and Gordan Giricek.

The third quarter was a different story. The Suns went nine minutes without a
turnover and got their own running game going once O'Neal picked up his fifth
foul - and Phoenix's fourth technical foul - with 5:19 left. Up 78-76, the
Suns went on a 15-3 run, highlighted by 3-pointers from Bell and Barbosa and
a 3-point play by Stoudemire to open a 93-79 lead.

但到了第三節時戰局被太陽給逆轉了。太陽在9分鐘之內都未曾發生過一次失誤，並且
太陽打出了他們最好的節奏直到大歐吞下了第五次的犯規、且包括第四次的技術犯規。
雖然比分一直在拉鋸著，但到了78比76的時候，太陽靠著全隊球員的覺醒，打出了一波
15比3的氣勢，讓太陽取得了14分的領先。
