Once all the protocol is met, Dragic will sign a four-year contract that is
similar to the one slotted for Suns first-round pick Robin Lopez, according
to Bill Duffy, president of the BDA Sports agency, which represents Dragic.
As a No. 15 pick, Lopez signed a four-year, $6.75 million deal. He gets
guaranteed salaries of $1,353,100 and $1,454,600 in his first two years,
while the Suns hold options of $1,556,100 and about $2.4 million for the
third and fourth years.

Dragic's deal has three guaranteed years like first-round picks got before
2005. There are no limits on a second-round pick's contract, allowing the
Suns to use the midlevel exception to sign the 45th pick, despite no
salary-cap room.
