SAN DIEGO (AP)—Free-agent catcher Henry Blanco and the San Diego Padres agreed to a $750,000, one-year contract on Wednesday. “We were able to get an experienced catcher with considerable postseason experience,”general manager Kevin Towers said.“Henry is a clubhouse leader and a good, veteran catcher who mentored National League Rookie of the Year Geovany Soto in Chicago. We look for him to do the same this year with Nick Hundley.” A backup most of his career, the 37-year-old Blanco hit .292 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in 58 games for the Chicago Cubs last season. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.171.144.53
